DOWNTOWN MARION — Downtown Marion has a full weekend ahead, with extended shopping hours, karaoke, patio music, sing-along brunch, Queen of Hearts, and a Sunday afternoon show at Shovel City Drinkery. Here’s what’s happening downtown from Friday, July 31, through Sunday, August 2.

Friday, July 31

5:00 PM – High Five Friday! – Downtown Marion – Marion – Downtown businesses are staying open later for High Five Friday, with participating shops offering extended hours, specials and deals from 5 to 8 p.m.

7:00 PM – Karaoke Night… and a Sing-Along with DJ KOV – Kin & Kilt – 130 S. Prospect St., Marion – DJ KOV brings karaoke and group sing-alongs to Kin & Kilt, giving guests the option to sing solo or jump in with the crowd.

7:00 PM – Live Music with Kismet Notes – Shovel City Drinkery – 181 N. Main St., Marion – Kismet Notes brings yacht rock favorites to Shovel City, with songs from Kenny Loggins, Steely Dan, Toto, Ambrosia, Michael McDonald, the Doobie Brothers and more.

Saturday, August 1

10:00 AM – BRUNCH, PLEASE! A Mimosa Fueled Throwback Sing-Along – Bucci’s Italian Scratch Kitchen – 320 W. Center St., Marion – The sing-along brunch returns with food, mimosas and throwback songs built for a room full of voices.

7:00 PM – Live Music with Full Moon Duo – Kin & Kilt – 130 S. Prospect St., Marion – Full Moon Duo performs Saturday night at Kin & Kilt from 7 to 10 p.m.

7:30 PM – Queen of Hearts – Kin & Kilt – 130 S. Prospect St., Marion – Kin & Kilt’s weekly Queen of Hearts drawing continues Saturday night. Grab tickets, try your luck and see if the crown is hiding on your card.

Sunday, August 2

10:00 AM – BRUNCH, PLEASE! A Mimosa Fueled Throwback Sing-Along – Bucci’s Italian Scratch Kitchen – 320 W. Center St., Marion – Bucci’s keeps the weekend going with another round of its ticketed throwback sing-along brunch.

1:00 PM – Sunday Funday Patio Party with Live Music from Dr. Ike – Shovel City Drinkery – 181 N. Main St., Marion – Dr. Ike performs on the patio from 1 to 4 p.m., with Master of the Griddle serving from 12:30 to 5 p.m. and Sunday drink specials available.
